Workshops
Photography workshops in English in the Brussels area are often asked about. Viewfinders is in contact with several suppliers of workshops on various aspects of photography.
Specific workshops with interesting prices for Viewfinders members are available from time to time. Announcements about upcoming workshops of these or other services will be put into the Newsletter at regular intervals.
Here are some general workshops that we know of. (These workshops are not organised by the club itself).
Trevor Waldron
Trevor is an active member of Viewfinders and an experienced workshop leader and coach. He offers an excellent range of foundational workshops for beginners, as well as more advanced sessions for experienced photographers - mainly in Brussels and Bruges and mostly focused on outdoor photography. Viewfinders club members receive a discount.
Creatif Image / Michael Chia
Michael Chia has given presentations and acted as a judge for the Viewfinders challenges. Next to his main job as an experienced freelance photographer, he offers practical, interactive courses ranging from basic introduction to studio lighting.
Pascal Baetens
Pascal is a professional photographer of international acclaim. He offers workshops, also in English, covering portraiture, street photography, fashion and his special passion fine-art/nude photography. Most of his workshops are run at his atmospheric ex-convent home "Salve Mater", near Leuven.

Brussels Photography Creative Workshops
The courses are open to everyone – from the complete beginner to the serious enthusiast. It's about becoming an image maker and learning the fundamentals of creative photography. The workshops will cover all the technical aspects as well as the history of photography and how to develop your own eye and personality as a photographer. Based in a real working studio - it's all about learning in a relaxed and international environment. From April 2013
Haryo Nindito
Haryo is a professional photographer specialising in art portraits. If you want to take portraits to the new level with artistic styles, attend his seminar and workshop where he explains the creative process of producing art portraits, starting from choosing the concept/models/locations/dresses, the execution (composition, lighting, etc.) and the general principles of post-processing (Photoshop). An introduction of using off-camera flash (OCF) will be explained the seminar, and in his workshop you gain more practical knowledge on how to master the light to create stunning photos.
