| Mikhail Porollo | ||
| Mikhail Porollo (originally Russian) is a photographer living in Brussels. Having a higher degree in engineering he has always been interested in photography on different levels. He started to study photography whilst living in South Africa at the South African College of Photography and he has done quite a few specialist courses and workshops in South Africa, Russia, Belgium and Namibia. His preference for nature and landscape photography is supplemented by abstract, conceptual, portraiture and art photography. For Mikhail, photography is not just capturing a moment or the beauty of life but also a way to express his ideas and experiences. “Japanese tower”: Brussels is a city of many faces and is full of surprises. There are no limits to the exploration of the city. “Sossusvlei”: This photograph is part of a project called “The present” symbolising the present: illusive, vulnerable, unstable and beautiful at the same time and also the typical features inherent to our human world: the contrast of opposites, the beauty of nature, the subtlety of moment and full circle of processes. You can find out more about the photographer, his works and his projects on his website. |
