| I was born in Luton, England a small town about 50 km North of London. After moving further and further north after leaving home, In 2004 I moved to Brussels, where I have been ever since. My interest in photography came from my father, and I have been taking pictures in one form or another for the past 20 years, and for the past 10 years I have been using Canon Digital cameras to capture images from travel, portraits, events and weddings. When I was younger travel awoke my real passion for photography, trying to capture the essence of a place, and its people in images is something I still enjoy to this day, and this is my overriding philosophy when it comes to photography. My style of photography is to follow the action, and capture what is going on around me. I let events happen, and capture the special moments, rather than stage managing a scene. Preparing images for this exhibition has been both a hardship and a joy. Over time I have built up a large portfolio of travel images, and I wanted to present 3 images that really spoke to me of the place, I chose The Masai Mara sunset, as it said everything to me about my journey through Africa in a very graphic format. The doorway from Zanzibar is a style I often look for when, using a natural frame for the image, and finally the image from One Foot Island brings back great memories for me. If you wish to see more of my work, or you are interested in hiring me, please have a look at my website, or send me an email. |
