Joanne Vanderleeuw

As a new member of Viewfinders, and a complete amateur photographer, I am in the beginning stages of getting my photographer legs under me. However, being surrounded by fellow camera buffs has dramatically helped in my learning, and changed how I look at all things photographable.
I am earnest in my pursuit of colour and light in nature, and can regularly be found traipsing through the forest here in Brussels, or at our cottage in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. My family’s nomadic expat life has led me down avenues that would otherwise have remained a mystery. One such adventure in Baton Rouge, Louisiana allowed me to capture this photo of the ravages of Hurricane Katrina.
