Eva Winqvist

I started to take pictures in the end of the sixties. I worked in both black and white and colour and I also shot a lot of slides. They are now buried in cardboard boxes in an attic in Sweden.
I continued with photography but as many other important activities took my interest, it was mostly photos of family and plants. It wasn't until the digital photography era, that I took up photography on a more serious level.
I am interested in photography in many different senses:- documentary (following events i.e. refurbishing a house or the life cycle of a plant), daily life, the different sides of Brussels, and plants again! What I find most difficult is taking pictures of people. What interests me the least are typically "beautiful" pictures and I try to avoid them.
I wish I was more interested in the technical side of photography and I am working a little on that.
