| I’m a long-time resident of Brussels and have been photographing for quite a long time, but only in the last ten years or so have I started taking it more seriously, joining the Viewfinders club for inspiration and encouragement. I photograph all over the place and all sorts of subjects and with today’s digital photography I find I am taking a lot more pictures, so I have had to develop the skill to look at my images critically and have found that you can really learn and improve that way. The two pictures I have chosen to exhibit here were both taken in winter, one in the middle of one of the largest cities in the world, and one in the middle of nowhere. I think it shows that all over the world there is a wide range of beautiful things to be seen, and shows how the winter light can be used to the photographer’s advantage. There is no need to pack your camera away for the winter or only use it on holiday, take it with you wherever you go! |
