As I have a scientific/technical inclination, photography has always interested me. Encouraged by my dad, I was learning to take pictures quite early on. After my own kids grew up, I found I had more time do something more useful with photographic images, and have since become semi-professional. Being a member of Viewfinders provides the technical and artistic feedback any photographer needs to get the best out of the art, and it’s great fun too!
I’ve lived in Belgium for more than 35 years, and am not ashamed to admit that I’m really in love with the place, and also love the easy access it gives to other beautiful European locations. This exhibition gave me a chance to express that feeling in a very concrete way. I’ve been a member of Viewfinders for 8 years, and am presently the editor of the club newsletter. Though I try to maintain a broad artistic range in photography, next to the work I do on commission, I find I tend towards portraiture and abstracts a lot. You can see some examples on my web-site.
