This is Viewfinders’ eighth exhibition and our second to be held in the Halles Saint- Géry. Following on from a successful
exhibition in 2007 on Brussels, we wanted to take you further afield on a photographic journey around the world.
The exhibition features 47 of the club’s members showing 99 photographs, from Brussels and beyond.
Photography is a powerful medium, and can impart emotion, a sense of place, tell a story, bring back memories and inspire you. This exhibition is designed to take you on journey of discovery, without the long haul flights or airport queues.
“Viewfinders” is the English speaking photography club of Brussels. We have over 100 members from more than 15 different countries, and this exhibition allows our members to share their world with you.

Viewfinders is an ever-expanding, international club of people who enjoy photography in any way, and at any level. Launched 15 years ago, it is the only English-speaking photography club in Brussels and has more than 100 members, from complete beginners to keen hobbyists and (semi)professionals.
Monthly meetings feature presentations from professional photographers explaining their work and techniques, small portfolio presentations from fellow viewfinders and image review sessions. Twice a year we host a photographic challenge for members to receive constructive feedback from professionals in the imaging industry.
Anyone interested is welcome to drop in at one of our monthly club meetings before deciding whether to join. They can also receive the club newsletter for a couple of months, to get a better idea of what the club is about. ongoing activities.
Working with professional photography teachers, Viewfinders offers discounted access to workshops. These are organised on specific aspects of photography, such as Composition, Camera Technique or Travel photography. Viewfinders also has access to a large darkroom, for members interested in black and white photography, for both 35mm & medium format film.
Members receive a monthly newsletter with articles about club activities plus hints and tips on photography techniques.
