| What does the club do? |
| The corner-stone of club
activities is a monthly meeting, usually held on a Wednesday evening near
mid-month, at the British School of Brussels in Tervuren. The evening includes a presentation by a guest speaker, either about their photography, or about a technique of interest to members. Members also bring their own work to show and discuss if they wish, to benefit from constructive advice from other members. |
| What else? |
| OUTINGS: The club also organises group excursions and photographic shoots. These may be one-day outings to places near to home such as the Grand Place or the Antwerp Zoo. Or they can be weekend trips further afield - recent shoots have seen club members in Rome and Canterbury. There are also frequent group visits to major photographic exhibitions. These are great opportunities to practice new techniques, get some practical on-the-spot advice, or look at the work of other photographers. | ![]() |

WORKSHOPS, AND DARKROOM
FACILITIES:Viewfinders Photography Club runs a series of introductory and more advanced one-day workshops - usually on a weekend - for people interested in developing their photography skills. Non-members are equally welcome to participate, although members do receive preferential rates. Subjects include Basic Camera Technique, Composition and Lighting, and Travel Photography. See the Workshops page for more detailed programmes of each session, and the Events page for dates of forthcoming sessions.
The club also has weekly access to darkroom facilities at the British School, and members interested in black and white photography can use equipment in the company of fellow-enthusiasts. |
| The Club Exhibition: An Exhibition gives all members a chance to see what their photographs look like up on the wall, as well as giving the public an enjoyable insight into the club's work - at the last exhibition 38 members participated, and over 400 guests came to the opening reception. |
